Erin Jones:

Erin Jones' experience in motorcycle repairs started at a young age, at just 12 he decided to rebuild his fathers old road bike that had been in the shed gathering dust for years. It was around this time he started riding bikes and when not riding them was learning how to fix them. It was clear early on that this was the passion he wanted to pursue as a career.

In 1999 at the age of 16 he started an apprenticeship in Port Macquarie, where he learned professional repair practices from some of Australia's best motorcycle service technicians, including a three time BMW motorcycle technician competition winner.

Erin completed his apprenticeship in 2003 by this time was already in charge of a workshop, he was nominated for apprentice of the year and was among the top three graduates in NSW.

A registered BMW technician and experienced Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki Technician. Also familiar with many other makes. Erin is more than capable of handling any motorcycle or scooter service you may require. Since leaving Port Macquarie Erin has also successfully worked with motorcycle dealers in Newcastle and Sydney regions.

Whilst having spent some time as a trainee design engineer and partially completing a bachelor of mechanical engineering, he soon realized that fixing bikes is his true passion and helping you the customer, to get and keep your bike running at its peak creates the best job satisfaction possible.

In 2005 Fat Crank Motorcycles was established as Erin saw the potential for a professional, reliable, convenient and cost effective mobile motorcycle service.

We are the longest operating mobile motorcycle mechanic business in the Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle regions.
